Long list of learning

Today we started of with doing religon and then we went to the computer lab and did some typing then we came back and we had a new student that came to our class room. After we came back to the class room we watched a video that was called the best baseball game ever it was about a how these people went and did some sort of a prank about 10 year olds playing baseball and then making them into the best game ever. After we watched that movie we went to the gym and did mission impossible and in the first set we did camandoes were the girls and the the snippers were the the boys after we switched and then aafter gym we put all the mission impossible and then we took it down. Then we set up the asmebly stuff and went back to class. Later Mr.Ball showed us another movie and it was called the high five esclator and then we talked about;

-who, what, where, when, why, how and some other important facts

Then we had recess and then we came in and had library we haven't had library for a week because of the book fair, so we returned our books and got new ones and then we returned to our class. We did math, Mr.Ball talked about for know on we have to get our homework signed and then we have to always bring it home to show our parents and then sign it. After math we had the assembly and then at the assembly we talked about perservernce and and then we read a story and then we got bits of honey and then we talked about birthdays, then we did announcments and then we said prayer and did O Canada. After lucnh and lunch recess we Mr.Ball told use that we are going to be moving around and changing our pods (groups).

Art:
We talked about doing comic strips for an art project. We examened a comic strip and and showed us what we needed in a basic comic. These are some of the things that we found:
-talking bubbles
-thinking bubbles
-action bubbles ( Boom, Pow, Bang! )

French and other stuff:
Then we had french and we talked about the emotions we did for home wrork then Mrs. Anderson gave use and assigments and we had to come up with 5 sentences and then Mrs. Anderson started talking about farts and about how many farts would and average person fart Then she told use about her husband beacuse they were planning a trip to Africa and then he looked up facts about gas, farts, burps and so on. 1 fact; the average person farts about 200 times 24 hours a day. But you only hear your farts 14 times the a day the rest I do not know.
For homework we have to think of questions that someone would ask if they were lost then we would have to translate it. Then we talked about when you get pregnant it said you know when you are pregnant 4 weeks. I'm not sure how we started talking about all this but we did do some french at least.
Social:

Power Point One:
After french class we presented our social power points and modles. The first slide was about Roberta Jamison Mr. Ball said that we did well on that one but next time we should spell check and finish our sentences so it's clearer to others.

Power Point Two:
The next PowerPoint was about a man named Hiawatha, a native man whose 3 daughters died out of spite of Hiawatha. The person who killed Hiawatha?s 3 daughters hated peace, a lot but Hiawatha on the other hand lived for it.

Power Point Tree:
After that presentation the next on e was about Chiefs and long houses. This group made a long house out of Popsicle sticks that must have taking a long time. One of the other things they talked about was the clan mothers; they had a lot of pull in the "Clan". The first nations had no writing paper so they explained to us.

Power Point Four:
It was called the Keetoowah (Kas-too-ah)
In other words it's a very decorative hat that the Iroquois held very dear to them. Tis power point involeved large unpronouable word

Power Point 5:

this power point was about the Wampum strings some of the facts were that the wampum strings were made by hands and that each wampum string is always a different story that was told, tellers were all very different, the clan is called that because of the darkness the have in themselves, and then this group made the wampum belt out of paper to show the diagram of the wampum strings, and then they showed use the parts of the wampum strings and how they were separated from each belt.

Open Book Test:
At social that we have been reading over the past couple ago weeks. It was also based on parts of our power points.
1. What is Consensus? /1
2. Who could vote in the Iroquois? /1
3. How were the Greek system and the Iroquois system different? /3
4. Which is better the Greek system or the Iroquois system? Why? /3
